A quick and easy snack featuring a delightful combination of fresh summer fruits, a variety of cheeses, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for light snacking, entertaining, or a refreshing treat on a hot day.

Ingredients

  • Ripe peaches or nectarines, sliced
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries)
  • Green grapes or sliced apples
  • Goat cheese, soft and tangy
  • Brie or Camembert cheese
  • Aged cheddar or Manchego cheese, sliced
  • Raw or wildflower honey
  • Toasted almonds, walnuts, or pecans
  • Artisan crackers or sliced baguette (optional)
  • Fresh herbs like mint or basil leaves (optional)
  • Small bowl of olives or dried fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all fruit, gently rinsing berries and patting dry.
  2. Slice peaches or nectarines into thin wedges about 1/4 inch thick. If using apples, slice thinly and toss with a splash of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Arrange cheeses on the board: place soft goat cheese and brie in small piles or wedges, fan out slices of cheddar or Manchego, leaving space for fruit and nuts.
  4. Add fruit clusters: group berries in small mounds, place peach slices in overlapping rows, and scatter grapes or apple slices around the board.
  5. Fill small bowls with honey and nuts. Toast nuts lightly in a dry pan over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until fragrant, then sprinkle around the board.
  6. Drizzle honey over soft cheeses just before serving.
  7. Optionally, tuck fresh mint or basil leaves between fruit and cheese for garnish.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy fresh fruit and creamy cheese.

Notes

Toast nuts carefully to avoid burning. Drizzle honey over soft cheeses just before serving for best flavor. Keep the board cool if serving in warm weather. Slice fruit just before serving to prevent browning. Warm honey slightly if thick or crystallized for easier drizzling.
