These crispy, sticky honey sriracha chicken wings are made in the air fryer for a quick, easy, and flavorful snack or meal. The perfect balance of sweet and spicy with ultra-crispy skin and a sticky glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds (900 grams) chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • ยผ cup (60 ml) honey
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable or canola oil
  • Optional: chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish
  • Optional: lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
  2. Sprinkle baking powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the wings. Drizzle oil on top and toss until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 3 minutes.
  4. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp. Add 3-5 minutes if needed for extra crispiness.
  5. While wings cook, combine honey, sriracha, and soy sauce in a small bowl and stir until smooth.
  6. Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl and pour the glaze over them. Toss gently to coat all wings evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately with lime wedges.

Notes

Pat wings dry before seasoning for best crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to avoid steaming. Baking powder is key for crispy skin. Adjust honey and sriracha ratio to taste. Reheat leftovers in air fryer at 375ยฐF for 5-7 minutes to restore crispiness.
